About Dylan

Hello! I'm Dylan Newell, the face behind StructuralVideos.com. I am a licensed professional engineer specializing in structural engineering. My journey began at Missouri S&T / Missouri State University co-op program, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a strong emphasis on structural design. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to design a variety of projects—everything from simple pole barns to expansive 7-story buildings. Each one has added fuel to my ever-growing passion for this field.

When I'm not demystifying engineering concepts, I enjoy spending time with my family and indulging in my passion for the outdoors. Whether I'm mountain biking, hiking, or mountaineering, I find that being in nature keeps me grounded and energized. I also enjoy playing guitar and drums, which allows me to channel my creativity and connect with others in a meaningful way.

So, whether you're here to learn, collaborate, or just peek into the world of structural engineering, welcome aboard! Together, let's make engineering more accessible and enjoyable.
